Prof. Altin Shegani, eshte lindur ne 13 janar 1972 ne qytetin e Beratit. Ka per fundua rstudimet e larta juridike ne vitet 1991-1995 ne Universitetin e Tiranes, mbajtes i Medaljes se Arte; Ne 1995 eshte emeruar pedagog prane ketij Fakulteti ku punon edhe sot; Ne 2001-2002 ka perfunduar Masterin“D.E.A. en Droit Pénal et Sciences Criminelles”ne Universitetin Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV, Francedhe ne vitet 2001-2003 kaperfunduar Masterin ne Shkencat Kriminale prane Fakultetit Juridik te UT-se. Prof. Altin Shegani, was born on January 13, 1972 in the city of Berat. He completed his higher legal studies in the years 1991-1995 at the University of Tirana, holder of the Gold Medal; In 1995 he was appointed lecturer at this Faculty where he still works today; In 2001-2002 he completed the Master “D.E.A. en Droit Pénal et Sciences Criminelles ”at the University of Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV, France and in the years 2001-2003 completed the Master in Criminal Sciences at the Faculty of Law of UT. In 2007 he obtained the scientific degree “Doctor of Law” at the Faculty of Law UT and in 2010 he defended his second doctorate at the University Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV, France; Head of the Criminal Department of the Faculty of Law UT in 2008-2012; Member of the Faculty Council in 2008-2015; Dean of this Faculty in 2012–2016; Member of the Senate of UT in 2008-2016; Member of the Board of Directors of the School of Magistrates in 2012-2013, currently its external lecturer; Leaders of international projects in the field of justice; Author and co-author of articles in national and international legal journals; Participant and speaker in a series of International Conferences in Albania and Europe; Supervisor and co-director of doctoral theses in foreign universities; Member of International Doctoral Jurors, Member of Boards in several International Law Journals; Correspondent of the “Revue Penitentiaire et de Droit Pénal”, since 2012 Member of the “Comité International des Pénalistes Francophones”; since 2013 President of the Albanian Section of the “Académie Internationale de Droit Comparé” since 2014 Member of the “Balkan Criminology Network”; From 2015 Member of the Steering Council of the Albanian Radio-Television, Co-director of international doctoral topics; Fluent in French, Italian and English; married with two children.
