ENGJËLL LIKMETA është profesor me kohë të plotë pranë Fakultetit të Drejtësisë, Universiteti i Tiranës. Mban titullin akademik “Profesor i Asociuar”. Ai është personel akademik me kohë të pjesshme pranë Fakultetit të Sigurisë dhe Hetimit të Akademisë së Sigurisë.
Prof. Asoc. Likmeta është autor i shumë artikujve, dhe autor e botues i 3 librave:
“Policia dhe Etika” – Aspekte teorike dhe disa raste të praktikës (2024).
Etika Profesionale në Drejtësinë Penale (2016).
Mbrojtja Penale e së Drejtës së Pronës. Një vështrim historiko- juridik (2016).
Ai ka shërbyer si Zëvendës – Kryetar i Komisionit të Prokurimit Publik pranë Këshillit të Ministrave (2010), Oficer i Policisë Gjyqësore pranë Zyrës së Prokurorit të Përgjithshëm në Prokurorinë e Përgjithshme (2008-2009), si dhe oficer i Policisë Gjyqësore në Drejtorinë e Hetimit të Departamentit Operativ dhe Hetimor të Drejtorisë të Përgjithshme të Doganave (2006-2007).
Ai ka qenë anëtar i Këshillit Shkencor të Fakultetit të Drejtësisë të Universitetit të Tiranës (2002-2004).

ENGJELL LIKMETA is Professor in the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana. He received the academic title “Associate Professor” from Tirana`s University. He is also academic personnel in the Faculty of Security & Investigation at the Academy of Security.
Assoc. Prof. Likmeta is author of many articles and is author & editor of 3 books that include:
“Police and Ethics”- Theoretical aspects and practical case studies (2024).
Professional Ethics in Criminal Justice (2016).
Criminal Protection of the Right to Property. A Historical and Legal Overview (2016).
He served as Deputy Chair of the Public Procurement Commission in the Council of Ministers of Albania (2010), Judicial Police Officer in the Office of the General Prosecutor (2008-2009) and Judicial Police Officer in the Directorate of Investigation, Operative Department, at the General Directorate of Customs (2006-2007).
He was elected and has served as member of the Scientific Council in the Faculty of Law, Tirana`s University (2002-2004).
