The Faculty of Law of the University of Tirana (FDUT) and Humboldt University of Berlin (JFHUB) are partnering to offer their students the opportunity to participate in an exchange program in the field of comparative criminal law.
The Program is primarily research-oriented and will finalize with the drafting of a thesis on a topic chosen by the students organized in groups of two, one from each Institution, within the object of the Exchange Program. The final thesis resulting from the joint effort of each student group will be either in English or in German. Good knowledge of Microsoft Word is therefore required.
The seminars constitute the teaching phase of the Program and are previewed to take place around August 2021, in Tirana (FDUT) as well as in Berlin (JFHUB), for one week each. The Program also provides an opportunity for the exchange students to engage in cultural and social activities together. The seminars will be carried out in the English language. The financial costs, including travel expenses of the FDUT students, will be kindly covered by the JFHUB Sponsor.
The number of the participants from FDUT is limited to 12 students from each Institutions and the recruitment shall respect the principle of gender balance. Students from the FDUT Scientific Master’s in Criminal Law Program are preferred.
The selection of the candidates will be carried on in two stages:
1. The first will be based on the student’s letter of motivation (1 page, A4, double space) stating also previous experiences (if any) in similar projects.
2. The second will be based on a short interview in English (via Teams or in person, depending on the conditions).
