CALL FOR INTERNS

The Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) is looking for one or two internsto assist the institutes ongoing projects and activities on a part-time basis.

This is an unpaid position for the period November 2019 –January 2020, with the opportunity for another three-month extension.

Main responsibilities:

·         Engage as an observer of the Albanian Police Vetting process;

·         Research and gather relevant information on the court decisions on anticorruption cases in Albania;

·         Provide research, writing and editing support on specific topics of ongoing projects;

·         Attend and take minutes from meetings and workshops organized by IDM and prepare written briefings for team members;

·         Provide administrative support, including filing, copying, mailing, and/or event preparation;

·         Provide accurate translation of specific documents as needed from Albanian to English and vice versa.

Required skills and qualifications:

·         Candidates pursuing undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate; preferred degree programs include law, political/social sciences or related areas;

·         Excellent communication and research skills;

·         Able to prioritize, meet deadlines and work with a team;

·         Excellent written/spoken English and Albanian;

·         Excellent knowledge of MS Office package.
